Not really, still lots of folks I enjoy interacting with I just wish to have as little in common as possible with those that I do not. You missed the saturation aversion in my post, it also became boring. Pipes are a light it and forget it sort of affair.

Dumb question... when smoking a RYO do you inhale the smoke or just swish and spit like a pipe? Does the rolling paper contaminate the taste and smell?
That alone means you have to keep at it so it goes well. Nothing to do with "forget it"
I inhale and retrohale like I did with a pipe.
I use the unbleached tubes. Adds a slight nutty/sour flavor.
Gravity fill a pipe and smack it against your palm to settle the contents if the chamber. The pipe will nearly smoke itself.
This is what I do but maybe I smack it too much and the tobacco becomes very dense. But the airway is totally free with no resistance. Or it has to do with the blends I smoke. Former dunhill (Peterson), Samuel gawith, gl please, all English and a Balkan. Or maybe I put the pipe down for too long being busy with other things meanwhile.
About the same blends I smoke excluding latakia but I cube cut flakes.
3+ decades of regular smoking turned it into a thoughtless activity. Cigars, cigarettes, and chewing tobacco often need receptacles for waste while using. I light a pipe and realize it's done when I get ashes in my mouth.

I tried again with less smacking after the bowl is full and it worked! Vast improvement. Thank you very much my friend, your advice is always a treasure.
