Funny, I was just making to ask you about La Aurora 100s. Are you endorsing the current production?
Also- any thoughts on the 115s? The Brazilian has my interest...

Thanks for the welcome. I joined the forum a few years ago, but I switched jobs soon after and my schedule was all over the place. I’ve been wanting to make my way back here for a while.

Okay, just okay.
Intense and distinct buckwheat honey from the wrapper, pre- light, very nice. Did not show itself in the smoke
Big notes of succulent cedar on the stick, and the palate which also pours off the side stream just smelling GREAT. Dandelion tea, Apple butter, pecan praline, biscuit, coffee and Meyer lemon. Lot of notes and quite complex, very lovely and floral and dare I say cubanesque as can possibly be.
I have some various PG on the way.
My local store has a decent humidor and the center island is all Aladino for good reason IMO.

Current production of La Aurora Cien Años is very, very good. It's just a Corojo blend, but a Dominican puro and the leaf is of high quality and expertly blended. They only release it every few years or so. The churchills disappeared almost immediately and I have not found any of the Salomons from this release - I hope they're still being rolled.
Today, I needed a kick in the pants, so I smoked a Tatuaje Miami Havana Cazadores right off the truck. Fans of spicy, earthy Nicaraguan cigars would probably love this stick.

While the 60 gauge isn't my normal jam, this thing delivered. One of the best cigars I've had this summer. Nuts, cream and something salty, something sweet. It had a great draw but needed a couple of touchups which was the only down side. I'll have to break out the Cameroon and Maduro to compare.
