What Cigar Are You Smoking? 2025

I have some of the older (original) versions of these in the humi which i bought probably 15+ years ago. How was this one? I noted some of these made by Illusione in a cigar shop in Ocala, FL not too long ago and was curious, but didn't pick one up due to the two fists full of other things i was after at the time. Would be an interesting comparison smoke tho!

I have a love hate with the Illusione version of the One Off. I had the larger vitola quite a while ago and it wasn't that great at the time, bitter if I recall. I don't think I got through it, this was much better and I nubbed it. I might have even blistered my upper lip off it LOL.
I really do feel like two identical blends can come off completely differently depending on what I ate, time of day, length of time in the humi or even my mood. Definitely vitola can play a role too. I would have liked to try the original for sure!

Having an Acid Kuba Maduro Robusto, 5.0" x 54, that came from a large CIGARfest bundle from 2018 or 2019. I’ve never been a fan of cigars with flavoured ends, but I figured I may as well smoke it since I paid for it. I’m over at the new property and hear the quintessential sound of summer: cicadas.

Illusione Fume D'Amour Clementes after a 4.5 mile loop this afternoon on a wonderful trail 20 minutes from my house.

Oliva Double Robusto second this evening. I've had good luck with these, improving with time in the humidor. The one I grabbed tonight maybe should have been a 3rd. Tight draw, vegetal off notes, just generally not so good. Oh well, likely won't finish it unless it improves rather miraculously. Luck of the draw.

It was severe. And ya know how pictures never really capture it fully? We got hit last night and the night before. Thankfully no major damage

Not up there, I've never seen them on that trail. It's a steep one too somewhere around 1100 ft elevation but not one leafs of three, not even a mosquito. You come up one side of the valley and cut across the creek at the top then down the other side. I came up on the other side in that last photo and was on my way down when I stopped for some 20th anniversary XX dark.

Añejo 888 with 2.5 years on it. This is my favorite vitola in the Añejo line - the cherry notes in the beginning are incredible.
