Your the guy who's gotten me into parfaits! My favourite so far is SWR on top, then Captain Black, and finally Borkum Riff Dark Cavendish. Very good indeed. Seem to smoke it about twice a week, and my McBrog Ugly loves it! Good evening fare.
Gosh, I'm humbled.

FWIW ... (for what it's worth) ... I've done "triple parfaits" and even "quad parfaits", just to try things. You know, smoke what you like & like what you smoke. I've settled, however, on "double parfaits" ... (two layers) ... which seem to let me immerse into both tobaccos, plus the transition. I did find, with "quad parfaits" that there ends up with too much confusion, losing somewhat the individual identities.
NOTE: As for tonight, I'm doing a "double":
Top half = Eso Dunbar (a VaPer)
Bottom half = McClelland Burley mixture
Had a fun Pipe Club Meeting last night. Not sure if I've discussed parfaits too much. Will have to bring them up next month. I'm planning on bringing a Peterson System Standard as one of my pipes next month, so that'll be a good topic. I'm kind of known for championing Systems ... as well as Meers, Oom Pauls & Cobs. I'll even, occasionally, throw out an "off color" joke, but we have no Pipe Club Sisters, so I guess I've not offended anyone yet.
Hmm ... noticing it's nearly pitch dark now (in MN) by 9:25pm. Have seen several Back-to-School ads, plus ads for MN State Fair (end of Aug) tickets. Means Summer's moving right along with Fall Season almost around the corner (YAY). Can start to think of Baked Squash, Baked Pumpkin & Roast Pork.
