Picked up a couple ounces of this one and not sure yet what to think of it… First time running across a burley, latakia, and perique blend. I like the umami/bitter (in a good way) flavor of it, but it does get a bit harsh if you go at it hard. Sort of reminds me a bit of Gawith’s Exmoor blend, but without the anise flavor. What do you guys think of this one?

I bought an ounce to try last month and I really liked it. It's like a mild English made with burley. It's similar to, but weaker and smoother than, my favorite Atlas Balkan, making it a nice change of pace every once in awhile. I could smoke Tuggle Hall daily I think.

Have you tried Gawith Exmoor? You might like that one, too. It’s like Tuggle with a bit of anise flavor.

I think with a lot of C&D blends, especially bulk, a little jar time helps. Even a few weeks can make a difference. Since their burley is uncased you get a true burley flavor but it can be a bit harsh at times. When I haven’t smoked C&D burley for awhile it can take me a bowl or two to dial it in.

I smoked a tin of this back in the mid to late 90s with thier Old style packaging.I remember it was an English style Mixture containing latakia, and not bad if I recall correctly.
