Got a Solo Stove? They're real nice for just having a "campfire" without having to go anywhere.

I bought a large (4' diameter) fire pit. It is actually just the top out of an old boiler that was cut off with three legs attached. It is perfect for me as I can throw big chunks of wood in there with no damage as it is 1/4" steel. I placed it down near the barn, about 75' away and during the cool/cold months, I spend a lot of time next to it and cut wood for it during the rest of the year.
Perfect for cigars, pipes, bourbon, lies, etc.
Ever since my wife and I had our second kid a few months ago, leaving the house and getting somewhere on time is even more of a chaotic whirlwind than before. One thing that I always have time for, no matter what's going on, is throwing a pipe, my tobacco pouch, and lighter into my pocket. It doesn’t take me more than 30 seconds.

When briars became the thing, people carried pipes with them on horseback for months across the wilderness, in conditions most folks today only see on the Discovery channel without any of the fancy accessories we’ve grown accustomed to “needing”.

Yeah, I doubt he gives much thought to how to pack his bowl or if his tamper has a ivory handle or not, ha.....
I’ve been using a canoeing dry box for taking pipes, tobacco and accessories when I go on trips. It’s about 7”x7”x4” deep. It easily holds 3 or 4 pipes, 3 pocket jars, lighter, tamper, and a grip of cleaners.
It clasps shut, and has a gasket that will keep in odors if that’s an issue wherever you are going. It easily fits in a duffle bag or under a vehicle seat, and keeps everything together. It’s rigid, and obviously waterproof, so it protects everything and no problem if you forget to put it in the tent before a rainstorm

It’s not necessarily a ‘priority’ it just takes such a small amount of time that it doesn’t make sense not to do it. Putting on my boots takes longer for goodness sakes. Haha.
Some camp with only the bare essentials. Others require "comforts" not wanting to rough it too much. Then there are those who think a Class A, 35 feet plus as "roughing it". To each his own is reasonable, I think.
Here we have a mountainous area, I think almost 2000 meters. There are less and less living trees, the lack of rain makes that animal life is practically zero. I could not even light a cigarette, some drone would already be fining me. What is left of the forest is very dry, because here the governments use it for shrimps and cocaine for their parties.
Now just imagine having to pack for a 4 weeks camping trip, and having to fit everything on a motorcycle…. Expected temperatures from -7 up to 110 C or 20-110 freedom degrees. No hotels and no restaurant meals.

Yeah you all are right it should not be a hassle...but sometimes thinking about myself self and getting everyone around up to go.....just need a little bit of quiet time and a smoke
Sounds like you are finding life a bit stressful and a bit of a hassle from your recent posts.
I find smoking and playing with my pipes very relaxing (get your minds out of the gutter
). But then my kids are off my hands.It may help for you to unload to a mate, your doctor or maybe a psychologist
