It was for work. 900 miles, one fire scene, 7 bowls, 20 hours total.
Ugggghhh. That's a ton of driving to do.

Two years ago, three of my buddies and I drove to Montana. Went through Missouri, Nebraska, Wyoming, etc. and in Wy and Mt the roads just went forever, straight as an arrow and flat. Speed limit was 80 so we made some good time. I would assume Nevada is similar in it's terrain. Is that correct??

Nevada is wide open. Under advice from my attorney I’ll refrain from opining about my speed.

Enjoyed an eight freshly made quesadillas lunch with a quarter of a freshly made Boston creme pie and a golden delicious apple for dessert. M'lady surprised me with a bottle of Boylan's Root Beer (my favorite). She said, "You haven't had a soda in years, so I got you a couple to enjoy." I'll drink the other one at dinner time. Anyway, I cleaned a few pipes, and am half way through this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Peruvian Macchu Picchu, neat, is my drink.

Working on a pipe tomahawk from a roughed out kit. Handle is done in aquafortis and linseed/pine resin varnish. Need to work on the head a bit more and add more work to the handle with brass tacks. About to go give it a dose of HH Rustica for the first break-in. Won’t be ready for full duty for another several weeks, but I want to test the draft hole to see how it draws before I secure the head. I’ll do a stand-alone post when it is all done.

Still breaking in the nuisance whacker, while smoking some 5Bros/GH Brown Twist in a Ropp J07IMG_4713.jpeg

Then I found out the hard way that the local Kroger super center shuts its pharmacy down for lunch (of course I was third in line after being there 10min already when they rolled the gates closed).
Good thing I had the Briarlee Illustrious and some Ryback+P in the car. Never go unprepared, even when you think it’s gonna be a five minute errand😉
