Later than usual to my coffee, burley, cob. I’m close to seeing the bottom of this old school SWR. Getting pretty stingy with it

Completely get your post. I've heard other comments on the "change for the worse" of SWR. And I'm sure there are others. I'm getting very stingy with Mad Fiddler and a few others for the same reasons, and benefitting from becoming very fond of other tobaccos. Spreading the Wealth, so to speak. Thanks for a very valuable and precient post.

As I sit in front of the "bubble machine" and chomp on my favourite cigar to this point, a Principes Caribbean, I show to you my latest aquisition, a small Missouri Meershcham Cob, shown in the photo with it's virgin char light, the current usual Captain Black Cherry Cavendish, the morning fruit-juice smoke to go with the morning coffee

The picture shown is indeed my morning smoke. Not bad; new pipe and still recovering taste buds from whatever it is, adding to the party. The pipe arrived from Amazoon just before I sat down this morning at 9:30 AM and got on-line, going back and forth from News Reports, e-mails, and the forum. It's now 1:22 PM so you also know what my afternoon smoke is, and how much time I've wasted. And, yup, the Principes was my afternoon smokes.

Won't be back until tomorrow. Full teaching day, some tune-ups to my indoor range, and responding in positive to a request to teach an elementary Music Theory and History course from a large group of advancing and interested people and students, and the resultant tracking down of my preparation and notes of this course I've taught maybe a dozen times at various institutions, adding to my workload of this apparent retirement.

So no drivel today. You've already had enough.
