A friend gave me some MM 150th anniversary blend Rockin' Earl and I smoke some in a Volcano inspired pipe he made me. Note the abalone inlay in the filtered stem.

TGIF. And what a Friday. Even spring has gone timid and gave us a monochrome sunset and cold enough to fire up the fire table. No pipe at all today, but finally sitting down with some water and an Aladino Queens Perfecto cigar.

Very nice. I have 2 of Sam’s pipes, and like his artisan work better than the other 3 BriarWorks guys. You have to contact him now and make a deal for a pipe, as he’s off doing several jazz and gospel musical ventures, but he can still use the money from a few pipes a year. Just a gorgeous pipe!

Barely slept, so I'm awake and smoking year 2018 Sutliff Walnut Match in a 1990s smooth brown medium bend briar calabash shaped Butz-Choquin Maitre Pipier JR Fait Main with a horn ferrule and a black vulcanite stem. Watching Ed Sullivan. Haven't seen that show since it was originally on the air.

That pipe rules-and so does FVF. I have a block of Full Virginia Plug that’s been aging for about 3 years. Maybe it’s time!

It’s a big bowl of goodness. 3-5 years of age is more than appropriate in my opinion. Dig in!
