When you've only got a little last bit left from your tin...

Something no one thought they'd see on a pipe forum today: I have been educated. I grew up on a farm around chickens every day. My undergrad degree was in Animal Science/Pre-Vet. And yet, I was going to suggest a change of the tin art to do a better chicken "evil stare," with more squinted eyes. Welp, research reveals they're exactly right, and that IS the way chickens stare at you when they're pizzed off at you and wishing for your death, with wider eyes. No matter how much you think you know.... The 3 people on here as weird as me are welcome.

I own a couple of Jobey pipes, and speaking only for them, that's a mighty nice tobacco pouch for them to be using. Lamb skin. I never knew they made anything that nice.
It’s actually my least favorite pouch. It’s so light and supple that it won’t stay open at all, making it difficult to load without making a mess! I prefer the 4th Gen ones. Thicker and easier to fill from.IMG_0892.jpeg

Nice Ashton, but gorgeous large Sebbie there, Brian! You're smarter than me, with the idea to get one with unadorned or etched or decorated scales, so you'll actually carry the thing (although it's in glorious condition)! I have two, one with custom work on it, and another with one of their standard patterns, and both just hang out in the gun safe. I take them out a few times a year to play with them like a kid with a toy.
This is an Inkosi- one of the newer glass blasted ones.
I'm getting the studs replaced with custom zirconium ones, and dark DLC on all the hardware to match.

I've had maybe a half dozen CRKs over the years.. I never go too long after selling one before picking up another.

Close to finishing this bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Been doing important stuff on this busy day. Fed all the cats except for the absent Abner the Eager. The rain has finally stopped after three days. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Thanks. It was difficult to get a sense of size and scale from the angle. As it looks very similar in design to the Sebenza, is the Inkosi basically a large Sebenza, if we re-named the large to medium (and the small would of course stay small)? Or does the tanto blade get its own name? What's the blade length? Sorry if I sound like I'm cross-examining you, but I'm really interested in the Inkosi, since it didn't even exist back when I got all of my CRKs 10 years ago-ish.

But the glass blast is VERY nice. I thought that knife would have looked expensive but "plain" back then, but was pretty, and I couldn't account for it. Well done.

@mister Badger I could have helped you with the pruning if I was in the area:)
Maybe I could have had some pipeweed as payment...
Looks a nice place! Picked 3 bags of rubbish & 4 vapes today; been to the Old Poets at Ashover for pub meal & pint. Took the pub some firewood & got given a pint for it. Got 20% off my food with a discount card & 60 points towards another Titanic pint or a meal when I go to Buxton. Special Virginia in the King's Clay; got 4 pipeweed packets for refilling when I go to Buxton this year. I'm thinking an ounce (or two) of 4 different clay pipe blends. Not much single use with me!
It's a 20-acre model farm, with 2 orchards and a few more scattered apple trees (all cider apple varieties), and about 1,000 more acres and 3 more farms comprising the rest of the estate (plus 3 more cider apple orchards). We could certainly do with some volunteers who know about pruning. The rewards consist only of free tea/coffee and biscuits (bring your own sandwiches), some interesting people to talk to, a sense of fulfilment and some excellent scenery to contemplate whilst smoking your pipe. More pics of that to follow when I'm next up there and communing with the goddess Nicotiana :).

@MisterBadger I volunteer with the Don Catchment Rivers Trust:
I also volunteer litter picking with Transition Chesterfield once a month & Chesterfield Litter Pickers.
So you recommend firing the guns?
