'99 McClelland Xmas Cheer in the Yeti Dublin w/ Bakelite.
I've never been a HUGE proponent of the Xmas Cheers ( I mean- they're great, and maybe the first few I tried didn't hit me right), but this '99 vintage is fantastic. A truly complex straight Virginia- a bevy of varying Virginia notes and they're all delicious.

I tried Mac Baren Vanilla Roll Cake for the first time last night (Ashton Pipe Club of London PotY ‘25) and liked it so much I smoked a second bowl (Peterson Dublin Bulldog). Wonderful non-chemically vanilla flavor and also really great tobacco flavor. A ‘sophisticated’ aro for sure; glad I bought a few tins.

Also smoked Firebird Flake for the third time last night (Rattray’s Beltane’s Fire). I didn’t like it the first time (but was smoking outside with a lot of controlled burns going on in the area). Just didn’t get it the second time (more controlled environment at home). The third time was the charm for me. There is a lot going on but it is a very subtle dance. I really had to slow down and pay attention, but then was rewarded for the effort.

A codger breakfast means contentment, the morning is cold but the pipe and coffee are hot. Half&half in a Morgan. I love being a retired codger, it’s something I never thought about achieving. But once you realize that you are one, with all benefits that come with it, you never want to go back. Thinking about a walk or a book? Decisions, decisions 1737910921891.jpeg

A third of a bowl left of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. I tried to feed all the ferals, but Tomato the Brave and Abner the Eager, both of whom spent the night inside, only wanted to go out. Harry the Hairy ate outside. Daisy the Feral Princess ate inside, and is snoozin' on her blanket. Tomato and Abner will be back to eat at some point. Fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger, too. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Had some of my Dark Sails mixture this morning in the Ropp J11.
Yesterday I had a couple undocumented smokes of Ryback+P in it as well.
Undocumented because I was busy installing the light you see above my thumb-we’ll be needing Gracie later next month/March and will use the light to simulate longer daylight hours to kickstart her breeding cycles.
