Mrs Badger and I made a pilgrimage to one of the remoter spots in the county (Ratlinghope, pronounced 'Ratchup'), the resting place of Richard Munslow (d. 1906), the last sin-eater in England and Wales. Then home, to a pipe of Peterson's Irish Flake in the Comoy seconds zulu. Turns out it's not really a flake pipe :-(

A third of the way through this bowl of year 2021 Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a straight smooth brown 1950s Comoy’s Tradition 305 apple military mount with a sterling silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Abner the Eager came back, ate a lot more than usual, snoozed on m'lady's lap, and then wanted out. Silly li'l fella.

How did it compare in a pipe vs a cigar? And compared to semois pipe baccy? A curious mind wants to know...
Smoking a cigar and the same cigar chopped up in a pipe are quite different experiences

As @cosmicfolklore has commented - a lot of the flavour of a cigar comes through its contact with your lips and tongue which you don’t get from a pipe
