We enjoyed this as well.Even though my wife and I are a good 20 years away from this, A Man on the Inside is utterly fantastic. Funny, but deals with some really important themes on aging in probably the best way I've seen. 10/5

If you like that series, you may be interested in this movie, which is a revisit... If you really liked the series, it gives you a pretty package ending with it all wrapped up in a bow. Not the best Viking movie, but like I said... if you'd like to see it all concluded...I’m watching The Last Kingdom again, for the second or third time. I love period pieces and especially Viking related stuff. It starts out very good and weaves into something a little more dramatic, which can be slightly soap opera like but it’s good nonetheless.
4 out of 5 stars.

What streaming service carries it?Finished up The Newsroom today.
Prior to this viewing, the only experience with the show came from a YouTube clip I've watched several times in the past decade, and continues to circulate today. This clip (below) is truthful, impactful, and caught my interest years ago. It aired during my final years in the service before I returned to college, so I never got a chance to watch it.
The Newsroom is a a series originally broadcast on HBO from 2012-2014 and consists of twenty-five, hour long episodes. The series takes place at the fictional ACN (Atlantis Cable News) and stars Jeff Daniels as Will McAvoy, the anchor and managing editor of News Night, the networks primetime political commentary show. (Similar to O'Reilly, Hannity, Cuomo, etc.) It's a fictionalized newsroom but takes place in the real world and features real world events, which serve as somewhat of a story driver between the characters. The overarching theme of the show is the effort to maintain the integrity of journalism in a world which is quickly evolving as social media is rapidly developing into the beast it has become.
Not only was it a trip down memory lane, but I think the show was ahead of it's time. Nearly every character is likeable and well written. The commentary is fair and balanced. The debates framed throughout the series presented an honest take on things we still discuss today. It was a very well executed show and I'm glad I took time to finally watch it. I highly recommend it. (5/5*)
