Are those cracks on the bowl and the shank?If so put a silver bands around them and you got another decade...or you can use stainless hose clamps
Yeah, it would be an easy fix, a couple drops of super glue would do it, I’m just ready to move on, I already transferred the stem to another that I bought at the same time as that one.
Just the shank the bowl is still sound.
I know that a lot of people consider these disposable, im actually slightly surprised at how durable that one has been. I have probably averaged three bowls a day five times a week for the last 9+ years on construction sites.
I believe it is appropriate to play taps at this time.
Send it back and get a refund. It's clearly faulty.
That sure is a museum piece...you can get new stems for like 2$...last year I got me a Charles Town MM cob with acrylic stem and smoked it for 2 months exclusively...I love it..smokes very well multiple times a day

With a little glue and/or tape, you could have smoked it another three or four years. But you were ready for a change. Cobs are remarkably durable. I have many pipes, so I don't wear out my cobs. They are, as they used to say of longterm members of the crew of a ship, permanent party.
