I know it’s not yet Festivus, & as this is my first holiday season with you fine folks, I fully expect the airing of grievances to be an amazing time on this forum. I hope to see many a grumbly thread on December 23.
But I just wanted to go ahead and get warmed up. Kinda get in the spirit of things.
I’ve got some Match MM 965 in a ziplock bag. And this stuff is really, really good. Just went to load some up and noticed the bag was not sealed all the way. Ugh. And it’s fine. It really is. I’m not worried about the tobacco sitting opened for a day or so. I’ll just have a nice dry smoke. Perfect.
BUT I REALLY SUCK AT CLOSING ZIPLOCKS BAGS.
And it’s not like I don’t have literally years of practice at it. Not just tobacco. But all kinds of stuff. Fruit. Small toys. Paper clips. (Deez) Nuts and bolts. (Got eem.) Goldfish crackers. Samiches. And more.
And when I do actually get one completely ziplocked, there’s too much air in the bag.
And it’s all compounded by the fact that my wife can just run her fingers right across the bag once, barely paying attention to what she’s doing, and get the prefect seal with no trapped air. Every. Single. Time. (I married up, obviously.)
I have to fumble with the bag for about 30-60 seconds. And it’s just such a frustrating 30-60 seconds. That 30-60 seconds ghosts the next five minutes of my day.
Like, is it just a man thing? Like picking up the chair bent over with your head against the wall or whatever that is? Do we just lack the innate ability to seal a ziplock bag well?
And I won’t even get started on how every tobacco that comes in a ziplock bag… COMES IN A DIFFERENT VARIETY OF ZIPLOCK BAG. I mean, why isn’t there only one standard ziplocking mechanism? There’s the thin little zip line, the fat double zip lines, the ones that change color like you’re a 3-year old, etc., etc.
Anybody else share my disdain and inability?
What are your pipe woes?
Maybe we should go ahead and let the airing of grievances commence.
