I realise this doesn't answer your question ... but I've only seen that type of chain with that type of catch attached to a metal windcap from the shank mount on antique pipes giving you the option of using the pipe with or without the cap.

I took a bowl of Burley kake in the 2017 Pete pipe of the year (devil anse). Good stuff. Drank a save the world brewer Quad with it while watching a game with my son and fielding a few calls from work over swirl there. I used to LOVE burley kake. Now I like it. I find burley #3 or bob's chocolate flake more satisfying these days. Funny how tastes change.
Relaxing after a wonderful salad, rainbow trout and asparagus dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm now smoking a tweaked version of Wilke Beta Test #2PC in a 2003 medium bent Ural meer with a lined and etched egg shaped bowl with a silver band and a brown pearl acrylic saddle stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Getting ready to clean a few pipes.

I started the week this morning with The Amphora Burley in a Rossi 606. My first after-work smoke this evening is PS Luxury Navy Flake in a Rossi 8111.

Half way through this bowl of Watch City Blue Ridge Special in a 2012 smooth reddish brown medium bend Peterson 03 Red Spray apple silver spigot with a tapered black acrylic fish tail stem.
CD Billy Budd in the Morgan Bones Liverpool.
I think this flake 558 has some real power of persuasion to it. I keep coming back to it.
