I stopped chasing grain a long time ago. I learned that you cannot smoke grain. It is great to look at no doubt, and I love a pipe with great Birdseye but when I can pay 295.00 for a better smoker with a more comfortable stem than a 1000-2000 pipe then it is a no brainer for me.
Reading the thread title, I thought Profile was a brand, probably a defunct U.S. or English brand. I wondered why I'd never heard of that one.
I think at least the Supreme is from the Reuben-era (1951 - 1956-7?) when this grade was the top of the Charatan line. Below is a screenshot from the 1951 Charatan catalog. There it is called the “Artist" What a beautiful pipe you got!

Should I call her “Nessie”?
I always thought this pipe by Pipa Ciro had a great profile. I sold it a couple of years ago because it just didn't smoke all that great, but it was beautiful to look at.
I quite like this one by Paul Tatum:
I've always loved the simple elegance of this Chacom Grand Cru with it's triangular shank. Of standard shaped, the Castello 19 which I should have never sold.

My only Ingo Garbe would qualify for this here thread, I doth think. I have acquired all my pipes with the profile as a prime consideration, but this one in particular. It made the sale, as the price was a touch outside my wallet's comfort zone. Actual pipe looks 500 times better than the photo. True. I never exaggerate, except on those few times when I do. White specks are cat dandruff or something.
