This is called an Autumn Sunrise. It's bourbon, maple syrup, lemon juice, cinnamon stick, and anise. Tastes somewhere between an old fashioned and a whiskey sour.

Just learning whisky and whiskey. The horror, no pipe this evening, but drinking Grangestone 12 year single malt.
Coming from Rum, this is a whole different taste. It’s like first getting into English’s. A bit of smokiness, Latakia like savory vs sweeter aromatics. Scotch is more savory meaty than bourbon or rye, I think that’s how one might describe it.
