If you are participating in the Secret Santa 2014, please post your likes/dislikes in this thread. It'll make it easy for your SS to figure out your proclivities.

I'm open to most anything. I don't shy away from aromatics. Several are my favorites. I love latakia blends, and Lat-bombs are cool. That said, Penzance wasn't amazing, but Ten Russians is great. High Vitamin-N blends won't make me turn away, but keep the Five Brothers. VA's are cool, but the Capstans & Mac Baren HH Virginia #1 were harsh. VaPers are always welcome and Lakelands have found their place in my cellar too. There's more, I'm sure but that will get you pointed in the right direction.

The preceding statement is not to be construed as fact, but merely conjecture.

I like Virginias and mostly smoke flakes but am open to Englishes too. That being said there are very few tobaccos that I didn't like.

I know what I need, smoke, I can't recall the last time I tasted it....Gandalf in the mines of Moria.

"we shall have to share pipes, as good friends must at a pinch'....'I keep a treasure or two near my skin, as precious as rings to me. Here's one: my old wooden pipe. And here's another an unused one...He held up a small pipe with a wide flattened bowl, and handed it to Gimli. 'Does that settle the score between us', said Merry. 'Most noble hobbit, it leaves me deep in your debt."

Thanks for posting the second page... I'll add to it by saying that I generally just use this as an oppurtunity to try new things and get in the holiday spirit. I'd be very interested to try some of your personal favorites and if you have any other recommendations should I enjoy those; that would be swell. I may be the easiest secret santa ever unless you really don't want to let go of your faves. Happy holidays everyone.

Flakes and plugs, Latakia and dark fired, straight Virginia. So I'm primarily a non-aro person, but I do like some aromatics, such as Comoy's Portwood and Bald Headed Teacher (both of which I have plenty of).

If you are shipping from outside the US: Send me anything that we can't get here.

No aros and please -- please -- no Perique. Really. Not even a little bit.

I'm very partial to anything with Latakia in it.

English (with and without Lat), Balkans, Scottish, Lat bombs, Virginias and Va/Per is all safe bet. Aros and Burley are very hit or miss, so not the safest bet.

I like virginias and vapers as well as some english blends. I do not really care for some of the bolder englishes like Black House.

I really enjoyed Firedance flake which does not really fit into either of those categories. I would be interested in trying some other lakeland blends. As far as burley's I do not mind them but they can hit me a little hard with the nicotine.

Very excited for this years secret santa and a big thank you to those who organize.

I enjoy aromatics and also non-araomatics. No latikia, and I am a nicotine lightweight. NO DEER TONGUE, I tried it once and my son really laughted at my facial expressions. Perique is fun.

Surprise me! I want to expand my horizons. Send me your personal favorites or maybe some youve just been wsnting to try.

I already sent mine out... Before the person posted... Now Im scared I made a mistake haha I looked at their posts and what they said there is different then what they said here.

"Of course you can save money by denying yourself all those little vicious enjoyments for fifty years; but then what can you do with it? What use can you put it to? I'm all about the Lat blends, but not a fan or dark-fired blends.

Housekeeping: I need to move this to General Discussion, I can't keep up with the replies if it is in the Buy/Sell/Trade (the Secret Santa thread was also moved that section).

The vast majority I have been smoking for a year or two now are virginia and virginia/perique tobaccos. Both in flake and ready rubbed form. The naturally sweet variety or the more spicy variety are both enjoyable to me.

Some things I have been really meaning to try for a while, but have not... Capstan Blue / Yellow, White Knight, GLP Maltese Falcon, and a Lakeland scented virginia tobacco.

    Hopefully that's helpful!

Whoever is getting the box I will be mailing out by the weekend should be a happy camper

I like fishing at dawn with my Missouri Meerschaum...

Please, secret Santa, share with me what YOU like. Let me know what inspires you about the tobaccos you chose to send. Help me expand my palate horizon. That all being said, I am most enjoying Va/Pers and Va/Per/Burs at the moment. I predominantly smoke flake, but that's not a deal breaker. I also love Latakia forward blends at Lat bomb and condiment levels.

Count me in on the no aros list. My favorites so far are Nightcap, Royal Yacht, Adagio, DaVinci. (I don't need these though as I've stocked up lol) I've dabbled in Balkans and liked the new Sobranie. I like latakia and perique as it adds a nice peppery zing. Willing to try most anything though. Whew!

Semois is a Tobacco from a specific region in Belgium. Tastes very earthy and somewhat floral to me; like a cigar...

I love Latakia: big, bold, brawny and light on the Orientals. But, hell, if I only got three or four pipe nails I'd be cool with that, (a guy can never have too many pipe nails.)

Yup, can't have too many pipe nails. Pipe nails are just pipers' gifts to the pipe nail fairy, who I suspect is also the one sock dryer fairy.

My likes have already been accomodated by the awesome gift from Mike msandoval and Fred sparrowhawk - nothing but Englishes, Orientals, Lats and Balkans

Irish Flake and Gaslight are particular favorites (so far).

On my recent P&C order, I added one pipe nail, since I don't have one. The clerk offered a five pack, but I said I don't lose things. Also yesterday I finished 40+ tampers for the Chicago Show.
