Hello everyone.

I'm from a small town in Argentina, and you can't get a decent pipe here.

I found out that the website 4noggins ships to Argentina, and I'd like to buy 2 or 3 pipes.

Problem is, I've read a lot of articles, and still can't decide which ones to pick.

I'd be very thankful if you could give me some choices.
My habits:

I like big bowls.

To date, I've only used briar pipes.

I don't care about aesthetics.

I smoke only english blends.

I'll admit I'm a fast smoker.

Price IS an issue. The exchange rate is quite steep.
I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Many thanks in advance, this is a great community.

What do you consider a large bowl, and how much can you spend?

I really don't know about models or sizes. I'd like a bowl that gives me an hour, considering I'm a fast smoker. I could go to $100.
Cheapest larger bowled pipe I see on there would be a Grabow Freehand.

Looks good, thank you.

They have a good selection of Savinelli pipes at 4noggins. I've always had great luck with that brand and don't think you can go wrong with one of them. Also, if you smoke fast and sometimes get tongue burn you can use their balsa filters to eliminate that. If you don't care for the filters they come with an adapter for not using the filters too. Good luck!

I'll consider getting a Savinelli then, thank you.

I don't use filters.

Nodding produces some very large pipes for just under $100.

chasingembers, that looks impressive. But there's only one (expensive) Nording at 4noggins.

If you are looking at Savinelli, their subsidiary Rossi, makes the same shapes that are more affordable.

Again, no Rossis at 4noggings.

Sadly, international shipping (to Argentina) is a must.

First I would suggest adding a few Cobs to you order, great smokers at rock bottom price, you cant go wrong with a Legend or Country Gent
I agree that the Dr. Grabow freehand would be a good choice as would the Duke and Omega Pipes, either straight or bent whichever you prefer. The Stanwell De Luxe line and Savinelli: Trevi pipes are good choices but a much higher price point
For $100 US you could build a good rotation of fine smoking Dr. Grabow and Cob pipes

A Savinelli would be my recommendation as well IF it must be a briar.

Anything in the "EX" category should meet your 1hr smoke criteria.

These are all EX Savs and at $100: 4Noggins Savinelli
Except your $100 will only buy you one of these and you would like to buy 2 or 3 pipes.
Because you want a long smoke and are trying to keep things at $100 or less, I recommend a Missouri Meerschaum Cob.

I know you have only smoked briar. But, you also mentioned you don't care about aesthetics.

If you are looking for 2 or 3 pipes that each give you a 1hr smoke AND have a $100 limit, I can't recommend anything better than a MM General.

You could buy 3 of these for less than 1 Savinelli: MM General

pagan, that's solid advice.

I'm loving the idea of buying 5 pipes for $100.
blackmouth, I meant $100 each pipe.
I think I'll spend $100 on a Savinelli, and another $100 in the corn cobs and Dr. Gs.

The MM Diplomat and Patriot are also good choices for you to consider, Legend and Country Gent were my first pipes and still smoking for 15 years, Grabows have a reputation of being cheap or toy pipes but they are real Briar and great smokers, inexpensive does not have to mean cheap

My Savinelli 673 is an almost perfect pipe in my opinion. Depending on the finish it can be had for under $100.

Take a look at the Savenelli Hercules series which feature no filter and large bowls and are moderately priced. Likewise, the Savenelli-made economy Rossi pipes often have large bowls (read the specs), especially the least expensive Vitoria series which a priced under $40.

ignaciojn I would suggest shopping on ebay as well. There is a pretty big selection of new and estate pipes for cheaper than you would pay retail. Plus, Im sure you have a good chance on someone shipping to South America
