Hey please someone help me after hour's of google searching I cant find it

its a briar pipe, engraved on the shank are the words
real briar

COMET

foreign made
and on the stem is an engraved white shooting star!
I would upload pics but dont know how

any help.woild be great

I found a reference to a Comet tobacco brand. Maybe it's a premium pipe.

it has a strange filtration system in it also

I haven't found anything about Comet pipes online either. I have one. It's a straight billiard with nice grain. It has the shooting star stamp on the shank. It's one of my work pipes. Good lil smoker that never gets soggy. It must be a sub brand of decent pipe company by the quality of smokability.

A premium pipe would be similar to the toys you sent in four box tops and $1.00 and received in the mail. A number of pipe tobacco companies did that back in the day.

If it is a premium pipe it could still be quite collectible, like the Dr Grabow Belvedere pipes. I'd still love to see a picture of it.
