I'm almost afraid to start a new topic, given my last one ignited a conflagration that nearly consumed the Western world, but I think this is innocent enough: What is your favorite/ or best pipe? Photos would be desirable. Mine is a 2011 pebble grain sandblast Ashton billiard finished in Ox's Blood. What is yours?

That is a beauty. I looked for the price and saw it was sold. By you, I take it, Roth? Aw, Ron, no pic?

Even though they aren't my best smokers, here are my 2 favorite pipes. My Comoy's 499 and my Barling's Make Fossil.

@sparrowhawk, like others I find it hard to pick out just one. But, since you insist, it would have to be my WW 1 Barling with a domed silver lid which swivels (!!) so the aeration grille can face in any direction, presumably depending on the wind's direction? This was bought by my OH for my 60th birthday, so de facto it HAS to be my favourite LOL
Sorry, due to my technical ineptitude, no pics yet. BUT a savvy colleague of mine is going to fix me up and I promise I will post pics asap.

I really like your Ashtons, sparrow and roth! As for me, my favorite is a Stanwell Brass Band sandblasted horn my mentor gave me. Unfortunately, I can't show it to you because in all the moving I've been forced to do the last 4 years, it's gone missing. I keep thinking I'll find it in the couch or something, but no luck. I'm thinking about asking someone to find me another, but I'm afraid of how much it will cost.

As for my current favorite, I'll have to give it some thought and then post a pic.

roth, if only I was missing more than just that one pipe, I'd feel better. I'd feel like there would be a better chance that I did have a box somewhere. It's the fact that it's the only one missing that has me losing hope...

At the moment, my group 1 birth-year Shell. Only in my possession for a week, but it just loves the new Three Nuns.
I also really enjoy the small sized bowl & pipe, it is great for a short smoke.

Hard to pin down for me, I have so many. The ones I smoke most often:

Wow, this is tough. I love all my pipes. If I had to choose just one, I would choose my 1987 Taylor made Ashton billiard. This is a sentimental choice because it was the first "higher end" estate pipe I bought once I got into pipes.

This is my favorite S Bang grade 5 by PH with Stag inset, Very sad story on this, my friend had this pipe and it was his favorite, he has asbestosas and had to quit smoking, he put it up on EBay and I told him I"m gonna get that pipe, Snipers hit hard, put a very high bid and won it, I called him and told him I have your pipe, he sent the pipe with a lot of real good tobbaco, now it"s my favorite pipe.

Bradley,
That's a bittersweet story about your friend's pipe. And what a beauty. Never seen a Bang quite like it. I usually like the straight pipes from S Bang, but that one is exquisite.
