I Live on 41 acers , no close neighbors, smoke on my old wraparound porch in morning in my underwear, yesterday my wife who sews very well, I asked her to sew some pockets on my briefs, to hold lighter, tamper,my hands get full with all that and a cup of coffee, she looked at me like I was crazy, am I crazy? I agree, that is brilliant but if I may make a suggestion? You might also want to consider adding a loop to hang your pipe from.
I think that a gentlemen of your age should do what ever you feel like doing. I think your wife should acquiesce to your wishes without comment. I think she needs a refresher course in the matter of who is boss. Yes I think you are nuts, but I can totally identify.
Sounds like a justifiable request to me. It is not like you asked her to sew you an apron with extra pockets.
That's not crazy, that's finding a practical solution to your everyday morning needs.

Can we get these in camo too? Maybe with belt loops so I can still holster my 1911 at the same time

You know, I was just telling my wife the other day that I wished my boxers had pockets in them for the exact same thing. We should start our own line of pipe smokers boxers!
You know they are making kilts now with tool pockets built into them. Maybe you should get one of those, it would be even more freeing and has lots of pockets for pipes, lighters, etc.

I have seen some particular evidences with my own eyes that prove Old Cajun is real "good" guy.

Actually those kilts are wonderful .. The advantage of women passes to men..
Skirts should be the most comfortable wears in the world.A lot of air passage and comfortable for legs and the male instrument between.

I'd like a pair that will hold my HK USP Compact 45 and a pocket for my dog's treats. Money is no issue as this is an excellent idea.

Regarding kilts, just keep in mind that because of the cold and the Kilts, the Scots have only two terror alert levels: Pissed Off, and Let's Get The Bastards. This is why they've been on the front lines of the British Army for the last 300 years.

The real solution to this situation is a nice fluorescent fanny pack. Fanny packs are always the solution.

Old Cajun, I like your ideas. How about wearing a sporran like the Scots wear with their Kilts. That is the little bag that hangs in front of the crotch. Looks kinda like a tobacco pouch.
Or you could get a small canvas tote bag - or have her make one. Put your pipe, baccy, lighter, tamper, etc in it when you are ready for your morning smoke. Tote bag in one hand, coffee cup in the other. Lot less work for your wife, and more practical, IMO.
