Ruby was the next door neighbor- that picture really annoyed my grandmother….but then again, I can't blame her-there were more than a couple of times in their early history when she had to go down to Hattiesburg or Tupelo Mississippi to drag him out of the clutches of some woman….
I was 16 and visited him in the hospital just after he received a pacemaker and a couple of days before he died- the nurse came in and after she left he looked at me and said "Boy, that one sure had a rack on her…." He would have happily fired up a pipe if he'd had a chance….
