Yeah Al, the stem is vulcanite, although I wouldn't have minded if it was licorice, cause I like licorice...

Nice find. I would've bought that had I seen it. "Lakeland ghost?" Bahh..Lakeland enhancement :) Value add for me as Im looking for a new pipe specifically for that!

It's strange on Ebay sometimes no one bids. One I got recently pics and description were rubbish I was the only bidder and turned out to be a a great pipe.

My greatest Ebay score was one of my first.
a 1938 Kaywoodie Bulldog w/ carburetor in 90% condition. I got the crud out of the carb, and re-clocked the stem, and it was 100%, minus a bit of dull. I sent it to Ed James a year or two ago, and he gave it the once over clean and polish, and it it looked even more brand new.
