I snagged one of the two remaining pipes on my "Holy Grail" list this afternoon, a pre-1982 Savinelli Guibelio D'Oro 320 KS (vulcanite stem, no filter). It needs a little restoration, I'll hopefully post a thread in about a week.

There she blows!!
While waiting for an appointment this morning I decided to check out the new additions at Esterval's Pipe House. I clicked on Love Geiger and what should I see but the very same white whale I've been hunting the high seas for since 2008!!

I couldn't believe it! There it was, all ready to be welcomed into my collection until I saw the price: $1500. I really like this pipe but not quite that much. Now if it had the horn shank accent like the one I originally saw I'd get it in a heartbeat.
I'm still kicking it around since I may never get another shot at it.
