@luck you know the can Guinness has a ball that when opened release the N2 into it taste to me exactly like from the tap just make sure u drink it from a cup, Guinness was never meant to be drank from a bottle/can

2. Guinness from the tap of the Guinness Storehouse

3. Guinness Foreign Stout when at home.

4. Guinness from the tap at Coleman's on Tipperary Hill Syracuse

Yes, Guinness does taste different in different places around the world.

5. Draught Guinness from from the can with the widget. Not a fan of Guinness Draught in the bottle. I'd rather drink from the glass.

6. Smithwicks when no Guinness is available

7. Hamm's before it was sold and then resold and then acquired by someone, who sold to someone else.

8. Olympia - an acquired taste when I was in high school.

9. Bud - gotta support those horses

10. What ever is served at a catered bar.

#1 is any draft Dusseldorf Altbier from Germany. It is not available in the USA as far as I know.

#2 Bass Ale Draft

after that there isn't much I like, though Coors Banquet is barely passable if very fresh. I have all but given up beer because of GMOs, which are in most of them. Then there is the problem of getting it fresh. Any beer that sits around long gets a bitter taste. Some beer, like Becks, is now imported after it goes bad. The same for Corona by the time it gets to NYC. Corona in CA is much better. The other thing to keep in mind is that beer is as difficult on the liver as whiskey, with much less alcoholic content. So, though I love beer and have been drinking it since the 1950s, I rarely touch it anymore.

Foggy: I agree entirely. In Russia, where any town of consequence had a brewery, you would see people lined up at the back of small tanker truck, or cart with a tank. They were filling their jugs with fresh beer. If the water was good and the other ingredients top notch the beer could be sublime. Of course the life of the beer was a matter of days, hence the block to block delivery system.
