Musically, vocally and lyrically this was probably Elton & Bernie's most down and dirty song.
One of my very favorite of theirs musically, with Tower of Power on horns...and lyrically, well...it does go perfectly with this music...but Bernie's writing in the '70s covered the entire spectrum, and this time he really got down in the mud.

Just been watching Talking Heads, Stop Making Sense...
Brian64: Good one...When I was a student at U of MD, my friends and I saw Stop Making Sense at the student union's movie theater. The two things I remember from it are Tina Wymouth singing on Tom Tom Club's "Genius of Love" and David Byrne on "Once In a Lifetime". Wow it's been about 35 years, I'm surprised I pulled that much from the cluttered attic upstairs.
