^^^^ Yes, indeed. Put on the Koss Pro 4AA cans, dim the lights, kick back and lose yourself in the music.
Now playing SRV - Couldn’t Stand the Weather.

Hawky, Yes original drummer Bill Bruford left to go to King Crimson.
John Barleycorn, I saw Bowie's Thin White Duke tour in 1976 at the Boston Garden. Hell of a show. Station to Station is one of my favorite Bowie albums. I also saw him in 1983 for the Serious Moonlight tour.
I saw Yes 3 times in 1976, Boston Garden, Providence Civic center and in Hartford at an outdoor venue called Colt Park, it was the only time I saw them outside. It was a great show but I kind of missed the cool indoor stuff they did, light show wise. The Tales tour had the coolest set design. The only concert that beat that set, was Pink Floyd's The Division Bell tour. That was the most amazing light show I have ever seen. Now the big question, how many times did you see Yes tripping?

Today is George Brunies birthday (1902-1974). He was a Jazz giant, "King of the Tailgate Trombonists." An original member of the New Orleans Rhythm Kings, who were among the earliest recorded jazz musicians, he spent much of his life in Chicago. From the 1950s until the mid 60s, he was a regular performer at the 1111 Club, on Chicago's North Side. The club was just down the block from the grocery store in which I worked through high school and college.

I knew George, as he was a regular customer at the store. Although I never saw him at the club, (I wasn't old enough to get in), we often spoke about jazz and its history. When he passed, I went to his wake. A genial man, with a great sense of humor, and an incredible musician.

Here is a clip from Al Hodes 1968 TV show "Jazz Alley" as the group, Art Hodes on piano, George Brunies on trombone, Nappy Trottier on trumpet, Jimmy Grenato on clarinet and Truck Parham on bass, plays "I've Found A New Baby"

And, here's George, hamming it up, in a 1938 performance of "At The Jazz Band Ball" with Bobby Hackett, trumpet, Eddie Condon, guitar, and Pee Wee Russell, clarinet

When my daughter was born I decided to get her one vinyl a month. By her teens she should have quite a collection. Right now we're listening to this month's record, Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz and Joao Gilberto.

Aerosmith - Get Your Wings
Never saw Yes, or anyone else while chemically assisted, too much of a square and too worried about losing security clearances. That did help in my being able to snag guitar picks out of the air, I’ve got a big collection, all won from the front row. I miss the days when you could see big name groups for $7.50. That won’t even buy a beer at a venue now.

^ Yeah I remember saying I would never pay over $10 to see anybody in concert. I have eaten those words a time or two.

I'll never tire of hearing this one. Without question, one of Mr. Zevon's very best songs...and a great live performance on Letterman.
I cashed in the last of my Triple B Bonds

Bought a double-wide on the Tamiami Trail

I parked it right outside the reservation

Fifteen minutes from the Collier County Jail
And the SEC is far behind

I'm down in the swamp with the gators and flamingos

A long way from Liechtenstein

I'm a junk bond king playing Seminole Bingo

Everyone got famous, everyone got rich

Everyone went off the rails and ended in the ditch

But we had to take that long, hard road to see where it would go

We took that holy ride ourselves to know
