It would be remiss not to mention that we had a new member to the group.
Not an uncommon occurence , except that she is the first FEMALE member in over 20 years
Stemmed the usually blokey jokes and comments.
All went well until she started an argument over use of gender and non-binary pronouns eg he, she, it, etc

Hope she comes along to the next dinner
We need a breath of fresh air.

Evening, all. Having a little tasting this evening and getting things kicked off with 2XO The Innkeepers Blend. It is the second release by Dixon Dedman, of Kentucky Owl fame, and is what we should have experienced on the first release. Rich, oily, buttery and so balanced and well rounded. Hoping they just continue to get better with each release.

Next up is Four Gate 10 year private cask Indiana bourbon. Deeper, darker, richer, due to the time in the barrel vs. the 2XO.

Next up is Joseph Magnus Cigar Blend Batch 115. This is a blend of bourbons finished in Armagnac, Cognac, and Sherry barrels. Rich toffee and leather notes mingled with candied fruits and tobacco. I could sit all night with a pour of this and be perfectly satisfied.
