I have a length of maple in the shop and decided to use some of it to make a Lovat. It has a Rosewood ring.

I like it and I have a few MM Maple Diplomats and they smoke very well. Stamping is crisp and clean. The 'M' stands for Maple (surprise!) and the 17 for 2017

Here are the specs.
June 17 2017 Maple Lovat with Rosewood ring

Length: 6.375"

Height: 2.0"

Chamber diameter: 0.75"

Outside Diameter: 1.5”

Bowl depth: 1.60"

Pass a pipe cleaner: Yes

1/8" brass rod insert

Delrin Tenon

Stem: vulcanite

Sock/glove: yes

Weight: 48.2grams 1.7oz

A truly nice rendition of a Lovat, with a longer shank and the nifty rosewood ring for an accent point. Good thick walls on the bowl too.

Thank you all for your kind words.

Here is my website. I had taken it down for a couple of months and then last week decided to put it back up. But I completely revamped and redesigned it this past week. Most of the pipes shown there are just for display. Kind of like a log of my progress and mistakes. Mostly mistakes with a bit of progress now and then.

Guys, I apologize. It dawned on me after my edit time had expired that I should not have made a comment about my website. I'm not trying to pull a fast one or slip a low ball, backdoor attempt at marketing.

My only thought was that I had reworked my site.

Me: Open mouth, insert both feet.
