It's a story repeated every year when the weather turns cooler that many switch from Virginia blends to more lat heavy offerings. I go the other way. For me the subtle complexities of a fine Virginia are far better enjoyed when the temperature and humidity drop. The much cooler, 30-50 degF, and drier, "intake air" help to keep the tobacco temperature down and allow for a faster cadence without compromising flavor. The net result is more fine Virginia flavor per unit time or an even more nuanced smoke at the usual Virginia pace.
