Usually I take out stingers but this one is inside the bowl and not attached to the stem as usual, I also cannot get a pipe cleaner inside the metal tube to clean the inside of it as there seems to be no hole or a very little one at the end of the tube shown, I was wondering if any of you have encountered this system and how you dealt with it, the pipe is a Dr. plumb perfect pipe.

GBD/Dr Plumb used these stingers for their perfect smoke system. What Embers said is right. The shank is probably full of gunk which has glued the stinger to it. Ease it out, and give everything a deep clean.

I thought it had to be something like this as it is an old Estate pipe I just got.
