I want to say Russ talked about this in an article but does anyone have a link to that. In which he discussed the sugar content of different tobaccos?

Just a correction to the pipes mag article. Turkish does not have high sugar levels, at least when compared to a Virginia. A typical Turkish has about 5-10% sugar while a Virginia has 20% or more.

So reading the graphs essentially in a tobacco leaf the higher the Ph the lesser amount of sugar in the leaf the lower the amount of ph means more sugar. So ideally as a blender per say your looking at getting a balanced ph level that should in theory prevent any bite so to speak. I find my own experience the acidic leafs tend to leave a bite but something alkaline leaves me be. It's a very interesting concept and surprised there isn't a secret blind based study on this matter. Pretty in depth research and it is a good read. Thanks for the info.
