One of our clients, knowing that I love pipes, sent me some 60 year old meers in need of a little work. The one on the left is easy- the tenon rotates and needs to be fixed in place. The middle one is a disaster- the meer is broken and missing a chunk at the mortise- I'm thinking about taking some ground up meer dust, mixing with acrylic casting resin. recarving, and retapping- (anyone have a better idea?)The one on the right is the prize...and any easy fix- just need to remove the broken tenon and replace...
