Now, that's a cob! Cool. :puffy:
One of the fun aspects of cob smoking is how they change in shape and size and color and condition over time and with use. I wish I'd been better about taking before and after pictures of a few of mine.

Try some wood glue mixed with sawdust then push it into the Crack. Let sit for a day or two to dry. Then pack and spark it up.
