The counterfeit market is VERY seriously killing the high end lighter market. Usually counterfeits are just fakes, but I've been watching the used lighters for sale and its in trouble from the fakes. It's a real shame. I LOVE high end lighters.

This is a really great article. Well researched. I enjoyed reading it. I've been eyeing a Dunhill lighter for a while now. I may have to take a look at the 'bay.

Thanks. I checked Wikipedia and it seems there are several towns also named after him, as well as a car company that is part of General Motors. Presumably because Cadillac founded Detroit.

The Cadillac car company seems to have made some very good cars between the 1920s to the 1950s.
