Some questions on capturing pipe specifications from a relative newbie:
When we're measuring the length of a bent pipe, are we measuring the angle from the base of the bowl to the button, or are we measuring the full length of the shaft and the stem to the button?

Are we measuring from the centre of the base of the bowl or from the front of the bowl?
As always, your input greatly appreciated. Apologies if the answers should be self-evident.

I'm pretty sure all retailers are using a legend like this:

pipedetailllegend.png

1: Length

2: Bowl Height

3: Outside Diameter

4: Chamber Diameter

5: Chamber Depth
So to answer your question, it is the length of the angle extension, and not the center of the bowl.

As as I understand Bent pipes are measured straight across from the front of the bowl to the end of the stem not taking in the actual full length of the shank and stem.Of course who knows if everyone does it that way.
