Sylvano pipe / pipes

I have just got this strange "Sylvano" pipe. Or is it 'pipes'? It looks like it was not used at all but has been displayed for very long time in a very sunny place.



A 9mm pipe with 4 brass rings in the stem. Not the from the finest briar wood but it is a well made pipe. Made in Italy, I found on the internet.
It is marked: Sylvano Duo with logo in one of the stems. There is another text but that is very hard to read, I think it is a number ending with 112.





The size is about group 4. I don't think I will ever use it but it is a funny pipe.

I don’t think I’d like some other person sitting that close to my face
I suppose you could just pass it to one another but I’m not sure if I want some other person’s drool in my bowl

I can imagine .

And I will only own it like the former owner did, not for use... That exactly for the reasons that OzPiper mentioned above,
I might revise it a bit to bring back some color in the wood as is visible at te bottom of the pipe. That must be the original color more or less.
