I while ago I won an action on the Bay from across the pond. It took a while and the package made it. One of the estates was a Dunhill 114. I'm trying to date this but I can't quite make out the year stamp after the patent number. I took some pics and was wondering if anyone here can make it out:

It's a nice pipe except there is a hairline crack on the outer edge of the bowl. Can this be repaired? Overall I like the color and it's a nice length as well.

The 417574 Patent was a Shell Pipe????? Not a smooth finish as your is....
(Possibly 1935 to '41..... defiantly prier to 1950, but never saw the underlined 10 before)

Looks like Dunhill's style of a number '16' to me.
I was wondering that too. I've been looking at the dating site and for the life of me can not find an underlined 10. Also being the newb I am I didn't know Parkers were Dunhill seconds I believe. Still trying to figure out who made the tiny Monty and what R&P or R&D is.

The Dunhill is great and I like the Parker almost as much.

I believe the last one - your R&P - is a French Ropp and is made out of cherry.

ok i looked and the other side had Dunhill over London with what appears to either be a triangle or a capital A way to the left of it by the bowl. I'll keep looking for other marks. Thanks for the help guys. I really appreciate it.

OK, I think I may have it. If the Patent number is 417574 without the /34 then I think it starts at 1920 and then the underlined number is the years after that. If it's a ten then 1930. If it's a 16 then 1936. What do you guys think? Am I reading that chart right?

All the Dunhill dating charts I've ever looked at leave so much to interpretation... total
