As many of you know I purchased a rusticated bent brandy C. Cavicchi new off SmokingPipes.com. First off I cannot fully express how much of a joy it is to do business with SmokingPipes, especially while working with Mark who is the utmost pleasure to work with.
Here is what I ordered:
- Claudio Cavicchi rusticated bent brandy
- Peterson leather 2 pipe bag
- Peterson University Flake (2x 50g)
- Peterson 3P's (50g)
The Cavicchi... my oh my is it a beautiful pipe. I haven't yet had the chance to test it out, but will tonight with a bowl of UF. The holes are perfectly drilled, not the slightest trouble with passing a pipe cleaner, and the design/rustication is breathtaking. The airway provides a wide open draw and coupled with the thick walls and bowl size this is going to be a champion for my VA flakes!
The Peterson pipe bag is VERY nice as well. Quality grain leather, vinyl lining, and sturdy yet flexible holding bands. Construction seems to be built to last a lifetime and I have doubts that it will.
I'll update this thread, as usual, with my developing thoughts on my purchases as I get to put them to use.
