George was a kind and fantastic guide for me as I started my pipe smoking journey. The majority of my pipes came at his suggestion, and I fondly remember looking forward to seeing him in the shop. We eventually became friends outside of the shop, having a few movie nights (thank you for The Searchers, George!) and meals out.
Regretfully, I fell out of touch with him and have not been able to find him since. I'd guess he'd be in his 80's at this point. It's a long shot, but I'd love to talk to him again.
