Not a fan of the remnants, but Swift has infinitely more singing talent than Bieber, who has none, so an infinite amount more than zero is....

I loved his music and how can you not feel bad when one of your favorite musician passes away, he was creative and at times inspired me to paint and also play guitar, I have some of his vinyl records, music has changed so much, teenagers now tell me who am I listening to and give a funny look when I listen to golden years, starman or ziggy stardust.

Incredibly sad to hear of the death of Britain's most influential and creative artists of the last 50 years. Constantly evolving, and never resting on his laurels, Bowie challenged not only the world of music but the broader artistic and creative culture of his generation.

Bowie was always a leader in music but was always open to collaboration and taking influences from other great artists like Brian Eno, Lou Reid, John Lennon and Iggy Pop to fuel his amazing creativity.

From Ziggy Stardust's hedonistic and androgynous rock star to The Thin White Duke's foray into early electronic music on 'Low' his personas and songs will live on, having made an indelible and profound mark on music and culture.

We have lost a true great of our generation, and a hero to many. David Bowie will be sorely missed.

A guy I know plays drums in a jazz group, around NYC. His group was playing background music at an exhibit in Soho a few years ago. He said the place was packed and abuzz with people talking, laughing, etc. David Bowie made an brief appearance and silenced the crowd by just entering the exhibit. He walked around for a few minutes, said a few things to an artist and left. Crowd goes back to yacking. There can't be too many artists (music or otherwise) that can be that impactful. A true Rock legend.

I'm of the age where this is the first true legend that has died. Kurt Cobain, Scott Weiland, etc... Don't even touch what this man did for music. Plus he died of cancer, not by overdosing or blowing his brains out.

Incredible loss to popular music. Bowie was in my top 3 of all time. I saw him for the first time in March of 76 in the Boston Garden when he was touring for the Station to Station album as the Thin White Duke. Next time was 1983 for the Serious Moonlight tour. From the days of Space Oddity to his last album, he was an inovator and a leader in the music world. Total bummer that he is gone, way too young.
