I'm sorry to say I'm a little too old to have grown up with Sesame Street, which means I'm no spring chicken. However, I have always admired the puppetry and artful scripting and acting on clips of the shows. It was pretty revolutionary in children's educational TV.
I go way back to the puppets on Kukla, Fran, and Ollie, with Burr Tilstrom as puppeteer, familiar to Chicago TV viewers in the 1950's and others who saw it in syndication. Burr Tilstrom is buried in the cemetery where my family has a large plot reaching back four generations. I think I was voting age before Sesame Street hit the airways.
