Not in Richmond, but in the region, Raleigh N.C. Richmond''s a great city. At least when I was last there, it has escaped the horrible sprawl. You go from farmland to city in a few minutes, and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. A native of Charlotte N.C. calls it Car-Lot. Raleigh is not quite so paved, but some of the northerly suburbs are a separate world -- they don't come "to town," and we don't go there, not out of distaste, but just out of lack of urban design. I like Richmond's Jefferson Hotel and its Edgar Allen Poe museum.
