Begin with a well trimmed 5-6 oz raw filet mignon. Turn on it's side and slice it into about 4-5 slices. Then turn it on it's bottom and do the same. You should end up with a julienne. Cut up a thick slice of onion and 2-3 cloves of garlic, a few mushrooms and just a little hot pepper. Boil a little water in a coverable pot. Get some broccoli ready. Cut up some green pepper and some fresh ripe tomato. Put the onion, garlic, mushrooms, hot pepper and meat into a pan with lots of virgin olive oil. Turn on the fire, medium to high. Stir frequently. Put the broccoli into the boiling water stems down. Ideally the water will come up to the top of the stems. Cover and boil for about 7 minutes, which will steam the broccoli.Keep stirring the meat & vegetables, adding the green pepper after about 4 minutes and the tomato after 5 1/2 minutes. Remove from the fire after 7 minutes. Sprinkle a few drops of L&P sauce on the meat and vegetables, if you wish. Serve with the broccoli, which has been cooked about about 7 1/2 minutes. Put a little butter or olive oil on the broccoli. An alternate version of this recipe uses no tomato and sour cream or plain yogurt is added on top after cooking.

Sounds (and looks) good. I'll have to try it. What appeals most is that it doesn't seem to be too involved or complicated.

Thanks for posting those pix too!
