Mssr. CE: I'll have to try mince meat pie soon. With an oatmeal crust!

If JimORC (Oatmeal Raisin Cookie) goes at baked/cooked raisins like he does pipe-tobacco, then I have nothing to fear, for the world market for such will soon be wiped out. Then bakers and cooks will discover the true joys of goods produced without those recycled rabbit droppings!

"Gawd...somebody please take away their keyboards before I kill again..."
"But when that last guitar's been packed away

You know that I still want to play

So just make sure you got it all set to go

Before you come for my piano"

I just rubbed out a freshly baked oatmeal raisin cookie and smoked it in my pipe. It's an empyrean smoke for the Gods! :puffy:

Golden raisins make the best oatmeal raisin cookies, big plump ones that still have a little give to them. Oh, I also believe that proper oatmeal raisin cookies should be crispy on the outside and slightly chewy on the inside....never ever soft, blech.

I believe that you meant, "It's an empty smoke for the Dogs!"
There are easier ways to get your raisin fix besides smoking those awful cookies - just imagine the dottle and dreck created! For example, try a bowl of Sutliff's Rum Raisin. Here's a link (Sutliff Rum Raisin) to that page on tobaccoreviews.com.

I'm just joining the fun now. I do NOT like raisins. So Oatmeal cookies sans raisins for me.
I can't eat the apple strudel with my annual Peter Lugers dinner next week. They put raisins in it. YUCK!
Even worse are prunes and dried apricots. I don't know how anyone can eat either one.

Just found this in the archives of Ogden Nash, famed oatmeal raisin cookie lover:
My name is Hunter. I swing and miss and am a terrible bunter.

But I’m not fazen because I like to eat the raisin.

I put them in oatmeal so they seal the deal.

Yes, I, Hunter likes the raisin because they fill my days in.

But if my name was Sam, I could eat green eggs and ham

And nobody on this forum would give a damn.
