I would go with brown or dark Va's similar to Wessex BCDF. Good stuff! Again, that is a beautiful pipe!

Gray, if you're interested in a zulu blast I suggest giving Rad an email to see about comissioning one. The pipes in his updates seem to sell before I can even get a chance to look at them even though my phone is linked to my email.

Zonomo - its a common way to photograph pipes - a rare earth magnet pipe in the ball and one on a stand below the "set blanket" and the pipe stands up.
I just ordered a pipe stand that employs the same idea.

I love the 55 shape and that interpretation is beautiful! A 55 shape (Castello or other) is on my wish list. Enjoy that blasted beauty!

What a gorgeous pipe! I'm not a sandblast fan, but that coloring is beautiful. I own one Rad (thanks to Harris) and it is my best smoking pipe in my small collection.
Pondering a commission for Rad to do a nice bent polished...
