Can any one tell me if these two tobaccos are similar in anyway? I have heard they are comparable, but I havent really smoked enough bullseye flake to really say.
Just a couple opinions would be nice
Thanks
John

Bullseye flake does say it has perique in it, but I couldnt say what the center is, is there any comparison to bullseye flake that anyone can think of?

A current thread on Marlin Flake reminds me of this...

Bullseye flake does say it has perique in it, but I couldnt say what the center is,

is there any comparison to bullseye flake that anyone can think of?

I haven't done a side-by-side comparison, but Rattray's Marlin Flake (a broken flake) is in the same family as PS/LBF (rolls / coins).

I would expect that Marlin Flake would fare better in a comparison, but then again, it costs more.

I smoked the same tobaccos for 25 years before I discovered flakes. My order for Luxury Bullseye and Luxury Navy Flake is in, and I have to wait for restocking because of the big changes. I hope it is worth the wait!

PS LBF and Escudo, well I wouldn't say they compare to each other, smoked

a bunch of both, Agree that you have the sweeter/Danish flavors on the LBF, richer/spicy flavors

with Escudo, get both and keep them on-hand...and Marlin, well Marlin is also

in a league of it's own, all fantastic blends depending on your mood/preferences
So for me , I tend to reach more for the Escudo and Marlin these

days and hit the LB LBF when I'm in the mood for a lighter/sweeter

smoke....again all great blends
