Yes, I know, it sounds crazy but I have come across a pipe that had it's stem glued in the the stummel. And it's a nice Peterson meerschaum ( I can hear the Peterson quality control jokes coming now). My question is, can this be rectified? I believe the glue was your basic old-style glue, as I was able to remove a bit with my fingernail; not the super glue variety. Is there a way to heat the pipe enough to loosen the glue without damaging the pipe? They did a thorough job of it; I can't draw breath through the stem.
Thanks
